As part of our ongoing investment into our online infrastructure over recent months, in June 2023 Navitas Solutions released entirely rebuilt Web Services to our cloud based servers, taking advantage of the latest Web API technologies made available by Microsoft in their .net 6.0+ platform.
Our new Web API solution now allows communication to occur over normal HTTP/HTTPS internet traffic ports (ports 80 and 443). This removes the need for our customers to engage their IT and Network teams to arrange configuration of firewall rules to allow specific ports to be open. This also allows communication with our services to continue when connected to 'non office' networks, such as when working from an internet cafe or hotel.
For reference our Web API services are still hosted on our existing www.navitasonline.co.uk domain which has a static IP of 109.228.44.63
Most of our current off the shelf solutions have been updated to now utilise our Web API web services, so any customers using the following versions of our software (or later) will be already benefitting from this new system
- Decoder Suite - v1.14.0
- Itin to X - v2.8.0
- Delegate Tracker - v3.1.0
- VisaEase - v2.3.0
- Ticketing Inspector - v2.2.2
- CheckMate (Uploader) - v1.7.0
- NavAgent - v1.0.14
If your agency is running a version older than those listed, please visit our website to download the latest versions - www.navitas.co.uk
Over the next few months, we will be updating all of our other solutions along with any customer bespoke solutions to take advantage of this new infrastructure.
If your agency had previously opened up specific ports related to our old WCF services, and it has been verified the above versions are in use by consultants and any bespoke solutions have been updated, the old firewall rules can now be removed from the network configurations. For reference these old ports in use are listed below
- http://www.navitasonline.co.uk (Ports 8731, 8732, 8733, 8735, 9731)
Full details of this old infrastructure can be found here if required.
